1947 CJ-2A Jeep (WWII Military) Frame Off Restoration

One of a Kind 1947 Willy's WWII Military Jeep (CJ-2 A)

This Jeep has been carefully rebuilt from the ground up over 3 years by my father. a retired certified ASEA mechanic. Starting from a sandblasted frame. new-off-shelf (N. O. S) parts were used whenever possible. Every piece has been carefully rebuilt and reassembled - you won't find a cleaner. or more authentic rebuild of a 1947 Willy's. Frame:

Complete frame-off restoration Sand-blasted New rear frame crossmember Fully boxed front frame horns Olive Drab Du Pont Centari paint Eight new spring hangers Frame checked for alignment Four springs re-arced. military double wrap New bushings and pins. center bolts. four new spring shackles Four new shock absorbers with eight new cotter pins bushings and washers

Rear Axle:

Dana 44 with flanged axle shafts Four pinion Power Lock rear differential New ring and pinion in a 4. 88:1 ratio Two new drum brakes (11"x 2" Wagoneer)

Front Axle:

Dana 25 with 4:88 Power Lock Two new cross and roller U-joints Two new sterring knuckle oil seals All new bearings and seals Warn locking hubs Two new drum brakes (11"x 2" Wagoneer) N. O. S. Master cylinder with D. O. T 5 brake fluid

Drivetrain:

L 4. 134 cubic inch Jeep flathead. previously re-manufactured - in excellent condition Re-corded radiator with new hoses. including new anti-freeze T-90 Borg Warner transmission All new bearings & synchronizer rings New second gear and reverse New reverse idler gear New low reverse sliding gear Big Shaft Dana 18 transfer case (completely rebuilt) New bearings and seals - standard 26 tooth Four new driveline U joints Two new engine mounts New transmission mount

Fuel System:

New gas tank (standard 10 gallon) New line and fuel pump Re-conditioned Carter WO carburetor. (Comes with an additional re-conditioned carburetor. )

12 v Optima battery 12 v Motorola alternator Remote solid state regulator Completely re-wired Integrated turn signals All new gauges - amp. meter. oil pressure. gas temperature. speedometer Standard Jeep horn (12 v)
