Here I have for sale my Datsun 260 z 2 Seater.
Owned for 25 years since I was 19 years old.
I have rebuilt the bodywork with all new genuine Datsun panels bought from the Z Farm in Guildford.
I panelled her up and resprayed her in a deep red pearl topcoat.
It looked gorgeous back then and blew away all those 2. 8 i carpri's.
I'm going to be gutted when she goes but I must say farewell someday.
You won't find many right-hand drive 2 seaters up for sale anymore.
Specification:N 42 head ported and polished with high lift fast road cam Flatheaded pistons 280 bottom end High compression engine that has been completely rebuilt Complete Janspeed exhaust Triple 45 s dellorto carbs with K&N air filters 280 gear box rebuilt 280 distributor electronicpolybushed all round Leda suspension front (have back but needs to be fitted)
New genuine Datsun panels:Tailgate Rear Panel 2 complete quarter panels 2 door skins 2 outer sills 2 front wings 2 light cowls 2 inner wings 2 inner trumpetsbonnetfront bumperfront spoiler
The car has been in my garage for the last 5 years (last taxed 2009).
As you expect it has some corrosion. Drivers side footwell needs welding.
The bulkhead has some bubbling of rust. nothing bad but should be pointed out.
The nearside rear quarter panel around the rear light has some rust and some bubbling.
There is also some bubbling on the roof near the chrome trim.
I am a body repairer/paint sprayer by trade and I restored the car around 15 years ago.
I had the car on the road for 10 great years and enjoyed every moment of it.
Now with family and other commitments the car has been put away.
It has come to a time when I think she needs to come back out for someone else to enjoy and experience.
I did a couple of Santapod runs at 13. 9 when she wasn't running at her best.
I think you would get low to mid 13's when she's up and running.
The car is not running at the moment and will need to be trailered away.
These cars are going up in price all the time.
A lot of fun and a good investment.
Only 34 left on the road in the UK!
