Standard

"Standard", a British company to manufacture cars. In 1961 the company became part of the "British Leyland".



Reginald Walter Maudsley started producing cars in 1903, naming his company "Standard". The name of the company has identified a production company philosophy - use cars only proven, standardized and interchangeable parts and components. Prior to World War II produced models with 6-cylinder engines. Was the best-selling lightweight roadster Standard Rhyl, appeared on the market in 1913. He immediately became a "best seller."
