Restoring a rare classic vehicle is an interesting and rewarding project. I currently have too many projects on the go and in the pipeline. so with regret I have decided to sell my Two Standard Vanguard Vans. span >  RPG 404 is a 1952 model as you can see from the pictures it has been striped down ready for a ground up rebuild. the front floor has been restored to a very high standard and the body has been dipped and zinc coated and is 85% completed the rust is only surface and has occurred because the van has been left outside for a period. The chassis is A1 as are the springs axels etc. the engine has had its cylinder head upgraded to lead free and is complete but untried. the rest of the components are  boxed and labelled.   Full set of wheels freshly cleaned and powder coated together with 5 really good crossply tyres.

511 DVT is virtually complete but a non runner. The great advantage of having the two vehicles is that DVT would be a pattern and a guide or even a source of spares and inspiration although it would be a great shame to break DVT because its body apart from the usual areas of sills and wing bottoms is rock solid. they put proper steel into the vehicles of that period.

 

The vans are for sale as a pair and you will be bidding for both vans. have the V5's for both vehicles in my name. you are welcome to come to inspect the vans. I will require a deposit of £250. within 24hours of the end of the auction and full cleared payment before release. No PayPal. The vans must be removed within 7days . I reserve the right to withdraw the vans from the auction.
