Morris 8 Tourer Including TWO More Unrestored Morris 8 Tourers in NSW for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 276 votes

Here we have a unique Richards of South Australia bodied Morris 8/40 Tourer in excellent fully restored condition. An older restoration (1985) the high quality paintwork has stood the test of time.

Little Mo as the second owner's wife affectionately called him/her? was shipped from England to Australia as a scuttle in 1946. A very rare. highly desireable car in Australia it is mechanically sound and only recently fitted with a brand new set of British made Victory tyres. Would not have travelled 100 kilometres since fitting.

This car is 100% complete and includes the convertible folding vinyl roof together with side curtain windows. Even a recently aquired chrome Morris 8/40 badge (not fitted yet) is included in the sale. Little Mo comes with an extenisve folio of memorabilia and includng the back story of its orginal military history.

Little Mo has lived all over Australia including Adelaide (1946) Maralinga and Emu Downs SA (1947 to 1952). Albany (1952 to 1983). Hyden WA (all of the 1960's and 1970's). Perth(1984) and finally was rail transported to Sydney in 2010.

Little Mo has had ±6 known owners since new. Its first owner was the Australian Army where it saw military service as a Radio Signals Scout car at Maralinga and Emu Downs SA during the famous British Atomic Testing of the early 1950's.

Its original factory colour prior to a total body off restoration in 1985 was the WWII Army's Olive Drab Green. It's original roof was khaki canvas. Little Mo comes with a photo album that documents its history including its full restoration in the mid 1980's. Little Mo still holds its own in daily traffic although its a bit slower than the modern's on the freeway. Mechanically sound.

To date every owner so far has taken meticulous care of this fun to drive little car. With its quirky backwards opening Suicide doors this car hails from the day where you literally have to actively DRIVE the car. A very enjoyable. different driving experience. and it keeps you on your toes. Little Mo has only recently run out of NSW full rego.

Little Mo is a one of a kind fire engine red (Wiggles/Noddy?) head turner that is waiting for you - Little Mo's next owner to maintain and preserve its driving and cultural history.

This smart looking 70 year old is in outstanding condition for its age especially considering its last total make over was 31 years ago!

As a bonus - in addition to Little Mo the vehicle itself the package comes complete with TWO - yes TWO other identical Morris 8 Tourers - a 1946 and a 1947 model - These cars are complete in all repects (except for wiring looms. seat upholstery and hood vinyl etc). One has fully rebuilt mounted engine. gearbox and drivetrain and there are more than enough surplus parts to rebuild them exactly to the same standard as Little Mo.

Included in the sale are enough new/old and used stock parts including full chrome bumbers. hard to get M8 headlight buckets. mechancials. fittings and electricals to fully assemble 3 more Morris 8 Tourers provided you can find another rolling chassis. At least two extra of each spare gearboxes. diffs. transmissions. good rubber tyres galore - the works.

There are enough spart parts with this sale to make any Morris Car Club spare parts department envious. The bodies are rubbed back and the cars only need re-assembling and repainting. All 3 cars have been kept under roof cover with Little Mo parked in a sealed solar fan aerated shipping container.

To finish them off WILL require additional labour effort and the sale MUST include purchasing Little Mo at the same time. It will save the potential restorer an enormous amount of time having the fully restored vehicle template (Little Mo) from which to work off. Providing you are not making a Hot Rod.

Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase three very rare Australian built Morris 8 Tourers in one line no less!  Contact me to email more photos of the other tow unrestored Morris 8 Tourer cars. Advertised elsewhere and could be sold by the time you read this.
