This is a superb. not practical. but fun car.

I am unsure of its origins or build date. but allegedly it could be based on an original Lotus chassis design with a mostly alloy body. registered as a ford escort 1. 3 base. all legal with confirmation from the DVLA. registered as a Sports Historic vehicle. which means free road tax.

It is fitted with a Ford 1. 3 crossflow engine. with 4 speed gearbox. which is very lively. It has been very well built. and passed its MOT with no advisories as it has done for many years.

You may think you want to have Sat Nav. heated seats. electric sunroof. or even a roof but it doesn't. the only luxury is a soft leather cushion for your bum to sit on. the seats are correct Caterham/Westfield. green with yellow piping and it has Willan 4 point harnesses. with a rear roll over bar. it comes with a Tonneau cover. but does not have weather gear.

Overall. an ideal enthusiast's car that could do with some TLC and titivation. but equally. it is ready for that sunday afternoon blast on a country road.
