This car is one of the cars that was purchased by Caterham when they first approached Collin Chapman at Lotus Cars and decided to go into production with these cars again. The car was delivered new as a complete car and not a kit in Left hand drive form to Germany and was used by a german owner till 1996 when he came to live in England. During its time in Germany it has had its engine replaced with a 1600 Ford cross flow to give a more reliable form of motoring. The car has been then been stored for over 14 years by its German owner. The car was recently purchased by the present owner who has just recommissioned it after its long time storage. The engine has been rebuilt. new battery. hood and oil changed in all major components. This is an opportunity to obtain part of English motoring history and would be possibly of great interest to any continental buyers as it is still on its German registration and we have the correct German log book included in the of this piece of motoring history.
