Austin Seven.

This car was originally built for 750 motor club racing but never used.

It is road registered. tax & mot exempt.

It can be used on the road without wings or lights for day time only.

It uses the Austin seven chassis & rear axle with widened rear rims. front axle has period modifications.

Fuel tank is centrally mounted.

It has a period. alloy rope wound steering wheel.

The engine is a Don Rawson freshly built Reliant 750 (late version of the Austin) with a three bearing crankshaft & internal oil pump.

The engine has a 32 mm twin choke dellorto carb. four branch straight through exhaust. it sounds just like the old race cars but is not too loud.

It is also dry sumped. It has an electric water pump & fan.

It has a four speed non syncro gearbox.

Front brakes are hydraulic twin leading shoe. rears are also hydraulic.

The car is great fun to drive.

If you take it to shows. as I have. it attracts tremendous attention.
