1939 Austin 8 Millitary Tourer
This is a very rare oppurtunity to own a real piece of WW2 History this original 1939 Austin 8 Millitary tourer. Which has been lovingly restored to its present remarkable condition by a British Millitary vehicle enthusiast. There are only believed to be 46 original millitary Austin eights left in existance.
This particular car was built in 1939 and put into service 1940 with the service number "M221017" (researched and believed to be correct).
The Austin is a real credit to the enthusiast who restored it. br>The paintwork of the car although only Army green is clean and as it should be with no signs of corrosion or rust. br>The underside of the car is also very tidy and will be waxoyled by us before the tourer leaves us for a new home.
The interior is very tidy with no rips or tears and benefits from a carpet set.
under the bonnet the car is very clean and tidy with a rebuilt engine that performs one of the best we have seen from any pre war car!. The cars transmission is also very smooth and works as required as are the Austins brakes. overall the tourer is a real pleasure to drive especially in weather conditions as we are enjoying at the moment.
The 8 would be a fantastic addition to any millitary vehicle collection. or would be a show stopper for any classic car enthusiast who wants to own a pre war car that is a little different.
Before the car leaves WRCC it will be fully checked over and serviced and as previously mentioned will be waxoyled.
The Austin also comes with history including research carried out by its previous owner on the cars Army service.
The car will be offered with a 3 month limited warranty.
Part exchange on similar classic cars is accepted.
independant classic car finance can be arranged.
