1980 (ish) Croco TAG Amphibious 4 x 4 Designed by Walter Strahm. the Croco TAG is a lightweight amphibious 4 x 4 that lacked any form of suspension. relying instead on the fact that the two-part chassis/body was articulated about a central axis. each half acting. in effect. as a large swing-axle. The oversize balloon tyres provided buoyancy for crossing water obstacles. Built in Karslruhe. Germany. the Croco TAG was marketed by Strahm. whose Swiss company was part of the Luxembourg-based TAG Group (Techniques d'Avant Garde). best remembered by motor sports enthusiasts as sponsors of the Williams and Mc Laren Formula 1 teams in the 1980 s/1990 s Permanent 4 wheel drive
This Croco is 4 wd and 4 wheel steer.

The front and rear tubs swivel so all wheels are in contact with the ground however uneven it is. Comes with the user manual The original rotary engine has been replaced by a 3 cylinder diesel one. Variomatic belt drive with 2 forward high & low. neutral & reverse gearbox. New belt fitted very recently. Air assisted steering has been retro fitted. powered by a portable compressor 12 v tyre pump (Which is not Supplied)The vehicle is in very sound unrusted condition and is in running order. It is fitted with the optional propeller and rudder. Only 60 were built so very rare. Due to the nature of the Croco it is sold as seen and as an ongoing project.
