Here we have a rare example of a mk 3 coupe the car has been stripped down for restoration had new sills inner and outer. new rear wheel arches. new carpet. it running gear has been polybushed throughout . it has had a fuel injection system fitted to the original 2000 pinto engine and has been upgraded from 4 speed to 5 speed gearbox. new brakes all round. deep dish RS wheels and chrome embellishes all rust has been cut out and plated and the car finished off in original 2 pk Diamond White which was baked off in an oven and polished to a high gloss new windscreen rubbers front and back and new chrome inserts. i have fitted high quality glass fibre front wings to avoid un nessesary remedial work in the future but the original steel wings will be supplied with the car. new custom made vinyl roof professionally fitted. new front and rear bumpers and rubber over rider bands. original tombstone seats. centre console I'm pretty sure there's so much more I have forgotten to list bit this restoration has cost me much more than the asking price but I realise I will never get back all I have put in. this is a superb motor car which is nearly 40 yrs old but looks and drives like it just came off the production line in Dagenham. wouldn't hurt to give it a crypton tune though (The private number is not included in the sale and will be removed and the V 5 c forwarded on to buyer)

Hi, I bought this Cortina back in March 2014 from a guy in Canvey Island Essex and love it, Have you any photos before the restoration you done, I want to make this a show car and bring it back to original factory spec, The interior is black but notice there was brown carpet under the capri rear seat when I removed it , was the interior a different colour back in the 70's?? can you confirm that it is a original Gt or a clone or a lesser model. I am trying to build a portfolio for the car and history and trying to gather as much info as possible, hope you can help.
