1957 American LaFrance Series 800 Fire Engine for sale

1957 American La France open cab pumper ex Irwin. PA Fire Dept. Has original 6 cylinder Continental engine and 1000 gpm pump.

Runs and drives great. Pumped within last year. approximately 300 gallon booster tank which did not leak last summer. pump had some minor leaks in drain lines last time it was pumped. Still has original radio. Seats recovered and in good condition. generator on engine has been replaced with alternator but generator will go with truck. Mechanical siren works good. Includes ALF marked ladders and hard suction hose. All items shown in pictures are included.

I drove this truck on a 140 mile trip last summer with no problem.

Looking for smaller pumper is the only reason it is being sold. Truck has good Indiana title. It is sold as is where is. 500 dollars down at close of sale. balance within 10 days. If payment by check vehicle will be held 15 days to allow check to clear.

Would you happen to know what type/size batteries the 800 series came equiped with? Having trouble finding info on this, it is 12volt system.
