Austin A 40 Somerset. this car is a 3 owner car . the first owner had the car nearly 45 years before selling to the second owner who only had the car a few months before selling to its third owner who then spent thousands on a professional quality restoration. The car was taken apart before being taken back to bare metal and then re-painted. the underside was cleaned off and painted body colour and the chassis painted in chassis green. The interior has had a new west of England head lining fitted along with new carpets. the seats are original and with a nice patina. the door cards and dashboard are excellent. the boot area has been re-trimmed and fitted with new boot boards. both steering wheel and gear lever have been reconditioned. All the chrome has been renewed. 5 new tyres have been fitted. complete new wiring loom and new door seals fitted. The only thing left needing attention is the engine as its tired ( smokey and growly ) though it runs and shows 35 psi and compressions are 120 psi. Both engine bay and engine looked tidy. the head gasket has been replaced along with one exhaust valve. It comes with its original registration and buff log book. mileage shows 60. 50. With the engine sorted this will easily be one of the nicest Somersets out there. No rot or grot on this car.
