THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT PRE-OWNED VEHICLE FROM TEXAS BEST USED MOTORCYCLES IN MANSFIELD. TEXAS.

You are looking at a sharp 1974 American Lafrance Fire truck. It was retired in 2011 from a fire department in Pennsylvania and was purchased by a man who bought it for his sons 5th birthday.
I guess he got his daughter a pony for her birthday. It was recently traded in on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The paint is in very good condition. it does have some bubbles in the paint on the passenger door (see the video). The chrome mirrors have some surface rust. The tires are in excellent condition and it has power steering and a suspension seat making it easy to drive. It is powered by a monster size Cummins diesel and a 5 speed transmission. 4th gear is 1:1 ratio and powers the PTO pump. I am told it’s fully functional. however I don’t know how to work the controls. The modern fire truck siren is fully functional. it has several electronic modes. It has dual very loud air horns and the emergency lights all work as they should. Its easy to start and has very strong air brakes. you can shift with or without the clutch. We hope it will find its way into a volunteer fire department or a private collector. There was one sold at a collector car auction and from the pictures it was not as clean as this one. As the 1970s began. there was a noticeable industry trend toward better-equipped. fancier motor fire apparatus. With plenty of federal money available. America's fire chief insisted on having all the bells and whistles on their new fire apparatus. In 1970. American LaFrance responded to this trend with a new premium version of its 900 Series. The new 1000 Series came loaded with all of what had been the 900s most popular options. The super deluxe 1000 Series pumpers and aerials were recognizable by a bright aluminum trim panel on the lower cab front and the spread-winged American Eagle which surmounted the bar-type ALF nameplate. The 1000 Series pumpers had extra chrome and trim. Many were ordered with stainless steel pump panels. Cummins diesel power was optional on this new premium series. The plainer. less expensive 900 Series models were still available to communities that didn't want to splurge for the top-line 1000 Series jobs. Dimensions are: 10' Tall. 8'2" wide. 27' 8" long

Texas Best Used Motorcycles is the latest offering of the No Limits Powersports family of dealerships.   No Limits has been associated with the retail motorcycle business since 1996. We started out in a 6. 00 sq. ft. facility across from the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Texas.   We built our business on quality relationships with quality people.   With the dawn of the internet. our business exploded!  In 2003 we bought a new building in the southeast corner of Six Flags Mall. just minutes from Texas Ranger’s Ballpark.   Our state of the art. 27. 00 sq. ft. facility provided room for our growing business. After nine years at Six Flags Mall. we have yet again outgrown our facility.   Accordingly. we decided to open Texas Best Used Motorcycles as an additional outlet for our growing customer base.
