You are bidding on a 1976 American La France Fire Truck (Pump Truck) with a Supercharged Detroit V 8 Diesel - Engine has had a full rebuild - so it literally runs like new.
Additional Features:- Allison automatic gearbox - On board petrol generator- Mounted with 3 Full length extendable ladders- 2 fire axes- 2 pikes- First Aid kit - 5 fire extinguishers- Air powered Federal siren (extremely loud)- 6 other electric sirens (extremely loud)- Main light beacon mounted on roof- 2 light beacons mounted on rear- 12 forward facing LED beacons inside bottom of windscreen - 2 two-way radios- CB radio (UK system)- PA system- Firefighter Helmet and turnout gear (including jacket and trousers)- Water cannon - onboard water storage tanks (holds up to 6 tonnes of water)
This Fire Truck runs exceptionally well it is 40 years old. but because of the full engine rebuild it runs better than new. oil pressure is great. runs at perfect temperature. Good tyres all round with loads of tread. stainless steel hubcaps. excellent brakes. As you may have gathered. it is MOT exempt.
This is a Museum quality vehicle. and as such. has won best in show twice.
