International Scout

For sale is my 1971 Scout 800 B. Note. the 1971 800 B models are rear only in production from approximately Sept. 1970. until March. 1971. I hope the photos do this truck justice. The Scout is in very good shape. It's an original California truck and has spent its entire life here in Central California. It's remarkable just how rust free this truck is. There are no rust issues. the Scout has been very well maintained its entire life. I receive complements on this truck everyday. The Scout has its numbers matching 304 engine which is very strong and sound. The Transmission is a T-18. 4-speed with 3. 55 gears. All new belts and hoses. The oil pan gasket is new. also the valve cover gaskets are new. New points/plugs. wires. and fuel filter. New Battery and new Holly 2210 350 CFM Carburetor. The windows have all been replaced and new window gaskets added. The Scout has new weatherstripping around both doors. The wheels and tires are less than a year old and have less than 2000 miles on them. The tires are 31/10/50/15. The Scout has it's factory spare tire rack to include a (not pictured) serviceable spare tire with black vinyl cover. The Scout is stock height and has not been lifted or chopped at all. The interior of the Scout has been completely redone in a graphite grey colored vinyl which corresponds very well with the newly painted exterior color of Anvil Gray which is a new 2014 Chrysler Jeep paint color. This is a very nice old Scout. truly an outstanding truck and will be loads of fun as a great daily driver. off road trip. or with the hunting season as a hunting rig. The Scout is Registered and I have the clear California Title in hand. Just a very cool vintage SUV. I have the Scout Listed locally and don't think it'll last long. There are a few things that the new owner will need to do at some point to the Scout. (1. ) I currently only have one of the Gas Tanks in use. The secondary tank will need a new fuel line prior to being usable. (2. ) I've have a new sending unit for the tank but it will need to be installed. (3. ) The Radio works however the old speakers were removed. new speakers are needed. I've bought and sold several cars over the years via Ebay and have a 100% rating.
