A much loved car. owned by myself for 15 years. the car has been the subject of a large amount of work to bring it to the condition it is in today. Originally a Spitfire 1500. the car was upgraded with a 2 litre GT 6 6 cylinder engine and associated running gear by Spitfire specialists JY Classics in 2007/8. This work included: all the mechanical and electrical installation work. new bonnet with GT 6 "bulge" rust prevention treatment to the chassis and bodywork to ensure no issues going forward New seats and doorcards The history file has all the receipts for this work. which I can copy and send on to interested parties - total just for this work was £7800.
Other work whilst in my ownership has included:New hood New alloy wheels New stereo New clutch. and all the usual "maintenance" items Electronic ignition Since the main "merger" with a GT 6 car in 2007/8 which really put the car into excellent condition. it has been stored in a garage and almost exclusively driven only in dry weather. The car was kept SORN'd last summer due to the arrival of my father's Lotus 7 which took my attention last year. but the car has just flown through it's MOT needing nothing more than some fresh fuel and a new fuel pump. The only reason for me to sell this excellent example is due to the arrival of the Lotus 7. and the desire to share the joys of open top classic cars with both my wife and my daughter - so the need to upgrade to a Stag is on the agenda.
A good example of a Triumph Stag would be the only car I would consider a PX for. and I would be happy to include my car and cash in that deal.
The car is currently located in Norfolk. but can be brought to Oxfordshire for viewings given a little notice.
