This is a good example of the rare Bristol 407; the first Bristol with the Chrysler V8 engine. It retains the beautiful flowing lines of the 406 but the powerful new engine endows it with a stunning performance for a sports saloon car of the early 1960's with a 0-60 time of 9. 2 seconds.

This particular car (Chassis 407/6041) has only covered 45k miles and has documentation to prove it with bills from the 1960's. It appears to have only had two owners. Over £6k has been spent over the years on refurbishment as needed and new parts. The engine and all mechanical items are very good. The bodywork is excellent with a re-spray in dark metallic green. We have had work undertaken on strengthening the rear end of the chassis and remaking the underside of the front wing flaps where the battery and spare wheel are housed. The leatherwork is good and the carpets are not overly worn. Push button automatic gearbox.

All in all this is an excellent car which drives well. It is not concours by any means but provides an opportunity to purchase a good 407 of which only 88 were made. It comes with the original Handbook. Spares Book. full documentation and a recent MoT. Ready to drive away.

Advertised elsewhere so can be removed. Available to view in East Lothian near Edinburgh with easy road. rail and flight connections.
