This is a wonderful 1967 series 2 a Landrover that has been part of the family since the mid 1990's and has been a true workhorse and fun vehicle.
there is nothing like driving a classic Landrover. and once you have owned one you can never be without one for long.
I have fitted this Landrover with a 200 Tdi from a Discovery together with the correct Discovery mounts welded into the chassis to allow the engine to sit correctly and to prevent the usual vibration issues that Tdi conversions suffer from.
I have drilled the bellhousing and fitted the lower counter-sunk fixings as you should. photos to show the works. I have made a stainless steel down pipe to accept a standard 200 Tdi Defender exhaust system. so you never need to worry about making a bespoke exhaust. just replace with a standard item when you need to. however. the exhaust fitted is brand new throughout. including all of the mounts.
I have fitted new footwells. door pillars and bottom brackets. a new radiator panel. bulkhead. wings and lots of other parts.
When the engine was out for the transplant I fitted a new front 1/4 chassis as the dumb irons were past their best. A new rear 1/4 chassis was fitted in the late 90's and the truck has been waxoyled every year since.
This truck has been serviced. looked after and loved the entire time we have owned it / her (known as Lottie) but sadly she needs to go to fund our next project. as we are restoring a very old wooden boat.
I have a full photographic record of all of the work I have ever carried out on this Landrover. I will put this on a memory card for the buyer.
I have kept all of the original 2 a wings. front panel and bulkhead. which could be for sale if required (photos in listing)
This Landrover drives superbly. you won't find many as nice to drive as this.
