Wolseley Hornet MKIII first registered 3 rd February 1969. This car went through a full restoration which took the best part of 4 years from 1992 to 1996 which included the body shell being sand blasted back to bare metal and then a number panels either being repaired. manufactured by hand or replaced with original parts. All running gear. braking. steering and electrical systems were also fully stripped and refurbished. The engine and gearbox has been stripped and fully rebuilt. The interior has also underwent full restoration with new leather seats and trim in Porcelain Green.
In August 1996 it was entered into it's very first show at Culzean Classic Vehicle Show. Ayrshire. Out of 43 cars it won "Best in class" then "Best car". "Best exhibit" and then went on to win the "Silver salver trophy" which is on display at Culzean castle. Maybole. Ayrshire for the overall winner of the show out of a total of 549 exhibits. Over the last 18 years the car has won many prizes at shows all over the UK.
