I never thought I'd sell my TR 6 but the time has come to move onto another project. I purchased this TR 6 in 1994 and spent the next five years completing a frame off. nut bolt. washer. seal. etc …restoration. The car was originally white and I had it painted Delft Blue which is a correct Triumph color for this model and year. I also replaced the original black interior with a Shadow Blue interior. The original body and frame were rust free prior to the restoration.

Here is a summary of what was done to the vehicle in 2000 upon completion of the restoration:

Body:

6 coats Du Pont base/clear coat

New hardtop headliner and window seals

New front windshield

New OEM style soft top with reflective strip

Chassis:

Blasted and epoxy coated (no rust)

Differential mounts boxed and re-welded

Front suspension mounts re-welded

Rebuilt rear lever shocks

New Koni front shocks

New stock springs

Engine:

New rocker shaft and arms

New valves

New valve springs

New valve guides

Head re-surfaced

Replaced 76 exhaust manifold with 73 manifold

Monza performance exhaust system

Carburetors rebuilt and shafts re-bushed

Alternator rebuilt

New Pertronix ignition

New coil

Radiator boiled out

New clutch. pressure plate. master & slave

Rebuilt brake servo. new brake master

Rebuilt front calipers

New rear wheel brake cylinders

New front and rear wheel bearings

Interior:

Complete new interior panels. and carpet

New seat covers. foam and diaphragms

Added heat shield/noise reducing insulation

Restored wood dash

This TR-6 is in beautiful completely restored condition. The entire drive train has been recently examined and is in perfect working condition. Any component in need of replacement or repair was completed. All gauges/lights operate as they should. I pulled the transmission last month and replaced the front/rear seals. re-bushed the cross shaft and cross drilled the fork/shaft and added additional fork pin (common weakness in TR 6 transmissions).

Just prior to this listing I adjusted valves. timing. carburetors and changed the oil and filter.

The Michelin red line tires are approximately 13 years old and have approximately 6 K miles on them.

You can assume that I have left several items off the list above because I simply can't remember. However. you can confidently assume that every gasket. seal. o-ring and almost all nuts and bolts were replace with grade 8 hardware upon completion of the restoration. I have a file full of receipts for all parts and service.

I have removed all sentimental value and have set the reserve at a very fair price based on watching for months what comparable TR 6's have sold for on Ebay.

This vehicle is sold as is and no warranties are expressed in any way. Please
