1984 AM General 5 Ton M934 Expansible Van. Extra long wheelbase with 20' van box (17' inside). Cummins NHC 250 diesel engine. 5 speed Allison automatic transmission w/2 speed transfer case. 6 wheel drive w/air lockers. Brand new Michelin 395/85R20's with 2 piece bud style wheels. Hard top. Upgraded drivers seat (GSS bolster style MRAP w/5 point harness). upgraded passenger seats (slide adjustable). Comes with 2 additional 81 gal. ea. fuel tanks. 4 stabilizer jacks (missing 1 baseplate). 10 ton tow bar. 2 additional passenger seats (slide adjustable). power cable on chasis mounted reel. brand new slave cable. 2 diesel fuel fired van cabin heaters 60. 00 BTU ea. . aluminum boarding ladder. come along chain hoist. bottle jack. fire extinguisher. grounding rods. misc. hand tools. spare 2 piece bud style wheel. The engine fan belts have been replaced. the power steering pressure hose has also been replaced. This vehicle was driven from Fontana Ca. to Hayward Ca. along Hwy 5 through the Grapevine and has been driven around town ever since so she's a runner. Braking is good. 6 wheel drive locking and transfer case operation is in good order. Van box slideouts add an additional 3' to each side for a total of 14' wide when extended. Both slideouts crank out easily. the slideout floors and ceilings are in good shape however the ceiling deployment cables have too much slack so the ceilings do not rise to a complete 90 degree position. The overall condition of this vehicle is in pretty good shape with the exception of the van box interior wood paneling and some of the insulation which was rotted out. I've removed the paneling and insulation from the passengers side slideout and the majority of the paneling from the drivers side slideout. you need to remove the rest of the paneling and insulation. I've also removed the interior ceiling panels and all but the neccessary wiring. The van box exterior was tagged by the local elements at my previous storage unit so I rattle canned over their art work. This was going to be an RV project so many of the military stuff inside the box has been removed to make way for upgrades. I've kept all of the military interior lighting including blackout lights. switches and nameplates. I have all of the Federal Government paperwork however she's not State DMV registered. I was waiting until the RV conversion was completed. She qualifies for a historical vehicle registration if so desired.
