Wow. this is one seriously cool custom ride!
Located in Florida. this California built custom was done back in the 90's to a very high degree.
It has been well cared for and stored indoors and driven only a few miles since it came east around 12 years ago.
It remains in excellent condition and runs and drives well.
Lots of upgrades and stylish touches such as the disc brakes and billet aluminum Budnik wheels.
Lowered stance is "just right" and looks great.
The interior is full custom with an amazing 32 Ford style dash with digital instruments.
Seats and door panels are all custom and are very tastefully done.
A couple of small paint flaws here and there like these on the door jam.
Considering it was done some time ago. this is to be expected. but it is still a show stopper.
Fantastic reflection in the deep dark black paint.
Canvas top is very well fit and looks to be in wonderful shape.
Tasteful thin pinstripe along the body line.
Running boards are done in body finish. super smooth.
All black. and all awesome.
1917cc engine with CB Performance fuel injection and 911 Porsche style fan shroud.
Check out the 1955 US spec taillights that match the 55 Convertible style engine lid.
The fuel injection system is pretty slick!
I love the big carb style throttle bodies. at first glance the lust look like big Weber carbs.
Very tidy engine compartment. clean and well detailed. a scant bit of dust from storage. but it runs great.
The owner says it is a little cold blooded but once the engine is warm it runs excellent.
Top is fully functional and in excellent shape.
Custom center console and upholstery.
Kenwood head unit with removable face and remote.
Semaphore turn signals in the quarters like an early car. Dashboard is a full custom 32 Ford style with full digital instrumentation.
Side windows. well. there are no side windows. this is certainly a fair weather car!
It looks to me like the body is not modified in this area. so perhaps it would be possible to re-fit the stock side glass at some point?
Really slick interior. look at the custom door panels and the way the graphic of it runs through to the back.
This is a seriously well done custom and despite it's age. it is still modern looking today.
Lots of style. and she packs a punch out back!
Battery cut off switch with key.
The billet steering wheel and flower vase. that wild digital dash and the smooth upholstered floors. no carpet!
Really a very slick look!
Too cool!
Seats are very cleanly done as well.
Some window parts are present according to the owner. and I see switches here in the center console
that were intended for power windows. but perhaps this was never completed.
The "W" style engine lid and small lights give it a very early look.
Nice fitted top boot.
Very slick ride. I love this car!
Smoooooooth
Check out the window install! No big bulky rubber seal!!
No wipers either. (again. a fair weather car!)
The custom mirrors on the sides and the thin pinstripe.
The flush mounted Mercedes headlights and smoothed out hood really change the look. so smooth and so modern.
Very very unique!!
Stunning
Still with the black California plates. the car has a clear Illinois title.
That super smooth front end just messes with your head!!
Front end is trimmed out with upholstered panels and some exposed audio equipment.
Narrowed front axle beam cuts into the body and is visible un the front trunk.
Audio goodies.
The underside is very solid and is pretty clean.
Looks like a bit of a scuff under the front apron. must have whacked a parking stone with it or something.
Suspension is detail painted and clean.
Shocks are chrome plated.
Braided stainless brake lines.
4 wheel disc brakes. more chrome shocks out back as well as chrome spring plates and detailed suspension bits.
Stainless fasterners used all over. like here to mount the fenders.
Front beam is adjustable.
Tires look excellent.
Very solid.
Budnik wheels.
Chrome spring plate caps as well.
Auxiliary oil cooler with electric fan and a spin on oil filter as well.
High volume oil pump and deep sump.
Engine looks like it has barely been run.
Tuck away exhuast system puts the muffler in here right under the right side of the engine.
Headers. no heater.
In closing this is really a special car.
Obviously a very high end build with many street rod inspired mods. it is very clean and very unique
and seems to have withstood the test of time very well indeed.
