PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A FERRARI BUT EBAY HAS NO CATEGORY FOR SIATA 300 BC CARS .

This is a very rare opportunity for a collector to own a piece of 50's vintage Italian history with this 1952 Siata 300 BC serial #408 . I am selling this rare aluminum body car with doors. hood. all 4 wheels . pedal box. rear springs and  rear differential. The car has a current tag . itle and registration in my name and my family has owned this car since the mid 1980's . The car was offered by my family in December 2013 on eBay and the bid only reached $94000 without a title or registration . The car has now been added and registered #408 by the Italian car registry and is registered with the state of Oklahoma in my name and I am offering the car on this auction with "no reserve" . I want to say that barely 50 of these cars were ever produced and they were delivered for the most part without engines from the factory. I have found period correct Crosley engines to be readily available and very reasonably priced and I am happy to pass that contact information along to the high bidder as well as all other parts and pieces known available from Siata experts.
Mr. John de Boer of the Italian registry has personally inspected this car and worked up a restoration plan for this car and I feel the car is worth far more than the cost to resurrect the car to restored condition. This car is needing extensive restoration and we have explored restoring this car enough to know that most parts that are not readily available can be produced with the help of some educated experts from the Italian car registry in California and their contacts.  My family and I have been in close negotiations with an overseas vintage collector for a few weeks now and the deal has not been funded so we are moving on to offer the car to the whole world with a known pedigree of being the 8th Siata 300 BC of the 50 or so they produced . The doors were removed for transporting and can packaged gently along with the wheels . hood and other parts. Mr. John de Boer personally autographed the door at my request when the car registered.
These cars have been sold in recent years on very rare occasions and sometimes traded in "driver condition" for more than $225. 00 U. S. dollars and it has been the opinion of some that a properly restored 300 BC can be traded far north of $350. 00 !! I feel with that said this little car is worth the price of restoration and far more.  The 300 BC cars have been recently invited to the concour d'elegance and are also currently accepted in the Mille Miglia race . We are still unsure of the significant racing history of this #408 car but the car has the tale tale signs of having been a race car .
This car is located 30 minutes east of Oklahoma City. Oklahoma and I will gladly show the car to anyone anytime by appointment and I can also offer free transport from Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City to see the car if necessary.
This car will need to be funded by bank wire or cash in person within 7 days of auction ending . upon funding I will gladly assist any transport company with shipping the car if needed. I will try to answer any questions I can by email . call or text 405-473-3204. thanks for viewing and happy bidding.
FYI :If you are not familiar with Mr. John de Boer you will find he is a highly respected and passionate Siata historian and owner who has written books and researched these cars for many years. I have met nobody with any more knowledge of these cars than Mr. John de Boer and his opinion is that of an expert in this make and model and he is known in many countries for his expertise .
