1960 International Harvester B 100 half ton panel van. fitted with a small block Chevy 350 cu in V 8 and TH 350 autobox. Conversion was done a while back and is good. but could do with a bit of chassis boxing or engine crossmember as it's really powerful and flexes a bit. It goes like stink. as the engine had over $3000 spent on it before I bought it. It's on 5 stud slots all round with excellent tyres. has a full Flowmaster twin exhaust which sounds the bollox. Brakes are original and not the best with drums all round. you may want to improve that later on. but it's usable as is right now and is already MOTd and UK registered. Comes with proper V 5 C in my name and of course the free tax disc.

When it came in it needed a bit of work to the floors at the front. and that bad metal was cut out. panels fabricated and seam welded in. It got some brake hoses. anti roll bar drop links. UK Halogen H 4 headlights. wiper motor from an LDV. wiper arms and blades. screen washer setup. and more tinkering. etc.

Bad points: handbrake was marginal pass for the MOT. brakes pull a bit due to sitting about. sun roof leaks a little. rear door catch requires fettling. small amount of rust in bottom of rear door frames. not on the skins. Steering wheel rim cracked in places.

This is rarer than rare. panel vans are always rarer than pickups and you don't even see many IH pickups of this type. never mind vans. A decent paint job and some interior trim would see you with a unique rodded van. perfect for weekend rod runs/shows as you can crash out in the back instread of using a tent. You will definitely not park next to another one in the UK.

You want to come and see it? No problem at all. I can also arrange delivery UK wide at competitive rates. e. g. Essex for about £300. I do not want any swaps. trades. part ex's please. just a straight sale. I don't mean to be blunt. just want to weed out time wasters. you'll actually find me a decent bloke to deal with. I wont mess you about. so please afford me the same courtesy.

Hope all had a good Christmas. and I send my best wishes for 2014.

Last 2 pics are of a '50 Chevy 3100 panel van (£8995) and a '49 Chevy car hauler (£9995) which are in a container at this time. due here end January.

No part ex and no swaps please don't even ask. I can arrange professional delivery anywhere on UK mainland at very competitive prices. Any questions. please ask. Thanks for reading so far!

Although we are based in Central Scotland. please do not let this be an issue for you as I pride myself on my descriptions and must add that on my other accounts and via magazines. I have never ever failed to sell a car to the first person who travels to see it! If you know what you are looking for. and do decide to come and see. I can assure you the car will be as described here. There is no point in me telling lies about a car. as. quite simply. when you come and see it. you will not buy it if it's not as described. so. a big waste of time for me and a waste of time and money for you. I have no wish to deceive any potential buyer. I've been on the receiving end of that in the past. travelling many hundreds of miles to see something very much different from what was described to me. I aim to change that as a business seller. I'd rather gain a new friend and not sell you a car than sell you something and make a new enemy!! I am an enthusiast first and business man second.

If you want to come and look. I can pick you up at Edinburgh Airport. or Linlithgow or Falkirk rail stations and return you after your visit. I can arrange delivery for you at your cost. London area is about £360 incl VAT as an example.

Sorry to do this folks. but I must add a note here for people who may not think some things through properly. I cannot and will not take a swap on anything. To explain. you want to swap me something. therefore yours is available for sale here in the UK. Why would I go to the bother of buying a vehicle unseen in the USA. take the chance that the seller may rip me off. spend money shipping it. unload the container. pay all the duties. VAT. etc. then simply swap it for something I could have bought here without going to all that bother. not to mention my money being tied up for at least three months awaiting the arrival. This is a business. you go to work to earn your wages so you can eat. etc. I sell imports to do the same. Swaps do not put food on the table. I hope all reading understand where I'm coming from with this. I keep my prices tight so can't pay over the odds for a trade in either. remember I'm the dealer. I can't drop my price to break even then pay you retail for a trade in. no vehicle sales business will ever do that. it's financial suicide. If you want to give me a trade in. I might talk to you. depending on what I'm selling. what you want rid of and what margin I have to play with. BUT. my price is firm in that case and your trade must be of a cost that I can make something on it too. I also wont take a trade of something I can't sell. 'cause if you've been trying to sell it and can't. then I can't either. simple really. I prefer to deal on a straight sale basis. I write this as I am getting fed up with many e-mail and phone conversations. followed by sending lots of pics. etc to interested parties. only to find that after a few days of time wasting. all they really want to do is swap me for something of lower value or something they have had no luck trying to sell. Don't get me wrong. if after a few days of talks and pics. you decide my vehicle isn't for you. that's no problem. that's not time wasting (as long as you didn't tell me it was definitely for you then change your mind!). Many thanks for reading and understanding.
