Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quatrovalvolle Replica for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.5) based on 668 votes

This is a replica of a 1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quatrvallvole.   It was my favorite car growing up. so I decided to build a replica true to the original.   I planned on keeping this forever (& still may). but am a pilot with the airlines living in NYC. & almost never get to use it.   Here is a description of my car; Built on 1984 upgraded to 1988 (Lotus suspension) Pontiac Fiero. Brand new Chevy small block V8 engine (purchased from Chevy dealer in 2005 & has less than 300 miles on it).  Red ext. with white/black leather interior. Alpine sterio system with CD player & retractable in dash TV monitor (for future rear view cam install). Munci getrag 5 speed tranny.   I has never been driven hard or abused.   Here is a list of original Lamborghini parts used on this project; Windshield. quarter glass. tail lights. side marker lights. some emblems. all tires are OEM fronts Pirelli P1's. Rear -P7's. seat belts. ash tray. engine warning annunciator lights. rear facia. interior dome light. original countach muffler. side mirrors. & more!  As you can see I was very serious about this replication & spent a fortune doing it.   The finish work as far as paint. interior. audio system wiring. alarm. etc  were all professionally completed by Exotic Illusion.   It has not been used daily. & has been stored for the past 2 years or so. so it is dusty. & could use a little attention to get back to 100%. but I would still give it an 8 out of 10 with the potential of being OFF THE CHART!!!. but I guess I am biased. lol  If you are the type of person who just wants to blend in. I will be honest. this is probably not the car for you.   It has always been a major attention grabber. & now that it's older & the younger generation has never seen it. it seems it's more of an attention grabber than ever.   I am more reserved in my adult years. but I must admit. it's a fun car to drive & seems to make people happy. my daughter loves it.

I will try to include one pic of an original for those of you who may have forgotten. or don't know what the original Countach looks like.   Thanks for looking. & good luck:)

1st off I'd like to thank every bidder for your show of interest in my Countach.  I feel I have built the best looking Countach on the planet. & I'd like to think the bidders along with the overwhelming amount of questions emailed is a bit of affirmation.  I've written down a bunch of questions I have answered via individual emails. & decided to post them to this add.
Q.  Who was the original kit produced by & why did you go with them?A.  I visited about 6 shops & attended Carlisle kitcar show every year while choosing a kit.  I decided to go with Easton Amstrong Motorworks Countach because they had the most authentic looking S model which Is what I was looking for.
Q.  What V8 adapter kit was used to mount the Engine to the Fiero?A. V8 Archie was a very clear choice at the time.  He had been in business for a long time & had a ton of cars on the road all over the country.  After installing my engine. the car was trailered to Archie's factory (from NY to Illinois) so he could inspect & change what he deemed necessary.  It spent approximately a month there before returning to NY.  I believe Archie is still in business today.
Q.  When were the pics in the ad taken?A.  Most pics were taken the day before this ad was posted.
Q. Which pics are not of your car (the real Countach)? A. One is of a real Countach racing a Ferrari. The other is the black & white pic with the car in bright red.  Look close & you will notice the caulk lines between every panel in the real Countach.  I though about replicating this. but decided it looks much neater without.  Real Countach is faster. but mine looks better. lol
Q. What exactly is required to bring it back to 100%?A. 1. It's about time to replace the door struts. they are getting weak    2. when I took the pics one of the lights did not come via switch actuation. but both went down via switch (probably just the module)    3. The dash board covering by the window & maybe the A pillars covering is loose & needs to be reaffixed or possibly replacedThat's what I can think of for now. but basically it needs to be with it's owner & used/cleaned
Q. How does it sound?A. The OEM Lamborghini muffler makes it sound good & sporty. however there are youtube videos that test mufflers to make a V8 sound like a Lamborghini & technology is ever evolving.  One day I would switch out the Lambo muffler when they get the sound perfect enough to beat it. but not yet. & I would always keep the original.
Q. Does it have AC?A. Yes. but it's been a while since I used it.  It was 100%. & it had to be in Florida!  With that being said. there is a small block V8 about 10 inches behind your head.  You will not be turning the AC down like your honda. lol
Q. Is it loud inside?A. Yes!  different muffler would quiet it down. but honestly. I bought that expensive fancy stereo system. & almost never listen to it.  I prefer the rumble of the V8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;)
Q. You live in NY. but it has florida tags. why?A. I Lived in Florida for a while & registered the Countach there.
Q. If you were to keep it. what would you do extra?A. 1. I would install some sort of a device to allow me to adjust ride height from inside the vehicle. but it really depends on the weight of the system.       2. thought about installing a sun roof. the Lamborghini factory never offered a sunroof option. but I have seen plenty of custom Countaches.       3. rearview camera. & proximity detectors
Q. How tight is it in there?A. I am 5'11" & fit ok in there. however it is tight & the roofline is right over my head.  I departed from the stock Countach interior for extra leg room.  Look very closely at the interior/quarter window of the original & you will notice the seats are placed right at the door opening with the rear window right behind them. the quarter window is a cut out for visibility.  When you look at mine you'll notice the rear firewall is about 8 to 10 inches further back.  There is room to move the interior wall (behind the seats) back more. but you'd have to sacrifice the sub woffers mounted behind the seats.
Q.  Why did you do Fiero over tube chassis?A.  I was worried about piecemealing a tube chassis together & one day not remembering what I used for where.  I can take my car to any local shop & have a part looked up or work done.  Not to mention it's a lot more work/knowledge required to do a tube chassis in it's entirety. atleast to do it right! so that was my rational. & I don't think I would ever do a tube chassis.     That's all I have for now.  Feel free to keep the questions coming. it's amazing the knowledge that people have about the Kitcar industry & Countach.  I built my car with Authenticity & Reliability in mind.  I could have used more comfortable non replica seats. but they would have stuck out like a sore thumb to me. & I put authenticity over comfort.  I could increase the performance of my stock V8. but I put reliability over performance.  I'm not saying my way is right. but it's what I chose to do. besides the engine can always be worked. & the seats can always be changed. Once again thank you for every inquiry. every watcher. & every bidder. even the tire kickers are fun to talk to. ay

Q. What's with the front & rear wings & are they removable. A. I was inspired by the movie "Cannon Ball Run" part 1. the countach in it had a front & rear wing.  I have seen Countaches with both of these wings on the internet & at various shows.  I believe the Countach looks better from the front with the wing. & better from the rear without it. just my opinion.  They are removable with bolts/nuts from inside. but you will have to come up with a way to neatly cover the holes. I have a system I planned on & will share if the new owner is interested.  I planned on removing them now-&-again originally. but after receiving such warm receptions where ever I took her. I always ended up leaving it as is.
