I have owned this Rover SD 1 Twin Plenum Vitesse since 2006 and it has been a pleasure to own and share with others as its always getting lots of admiring glances and comments!
I have actually owned this lovely example twice as I sold it back in 2009 to a nice chap in Newport Wales and then bought it back from him as he wasn't getting the free time to use it. I had really missed it after I sold it and it is/was one of those rare cars that l would always buy back if the circumstances were right. The time now has come to sell again as I am not getting the time to use it now either and a car like this is always better out on show where people can enjoy it rather than locked up in a garage hibernating.
The car wants for nothing as I have always made sure it gets everything its ever needed as can be seen in the listing below and all the other members in the SD 1 club in Scotland will tell you how anal I am when it comes to looking after TP Vitesse.
These are not expensive cars to run if you buy a good one and this one is 100% reliable. 30 mpg is easily achieved and insurance for me being a 41 year old is only £120 per year! I would happily drive this car anywhere without a bootful of tools as its always been maintained to a very high level throughout its life and really benefits from that fact now. It has always been garaged throughout its life and this is probably the main reason it is still in such great condition even if it is now 27 years old.
The previous owner to me who bought the car in 1987 from Beadles of Dartford where it was the Directors car for the first few months of its life. really made sure it wanted for nothing and the history file with this car is very very extensive and details everything - this really protects the value of this Vitesse.
SD 1's never did have a great reputation in terms of reliability but good ones are starting to attract big money at long last and this is especially the case for the most desirable of the SD 1 range. the Twin Plenum Vitesse.
This one won't be the cheapest Vitesse ever advertised but I always believe you get what you pay for and this one is worth every penny I expect to sell it for as there are probably only a handful of SD 1's left in such great condition. never mind the most sought after SD 1 - the Twin Plenum Vitesse variant in arguably the best colour for the Vitesse of Targa Red.

This car was more recently for sale on the Car & Classic web site (http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C792509) with a price of £15,000 and was apparently sold. Not a bad markup on the £6K it was available for a couple of years earlier, eh?

Hi.
I am prepared to offer more than the price seen, BUT, I won't have the cash for about four weeks, and there is a little matter of getting it from you to me on the south coast. Any suggestions, I can't drive that far these days.
