I have listed this car Three Times over the past month with each winning bidder either not having the funds to purchase or not turning up to finalise sale. Please only bid if you want to purchase - not look at it and change your mind!! Car is available to view anytime so please only bid to buy!!

I have decided that I want to sell this Classic, fast appreciating car, as I had to choose between keeping this and a half finished RS Turbo, or sell this and fully restore the Escort. I would like someone to take this and make better use of it than I have over the last year of ownership,

I purchased this last year along with an RS Turbo same year same transaction, but I would prefer to get the RS finished to a high standard and keep it so this means the GTI is going!!

I dont need to sell this car and has taken me a full year to decide to do this, these cars range in value with full projects at £2-3000 to cosmetic project like this car £5-6000 then really nice examples from £7500 upwards, and this car need a little TLC which is more time rather than money spending on it.

Mileage 112,769 - (Past 15 Years car has covered only 3,000 miles) All Original Handbooks and service records - Some history and stamps but not used for a number of years

Good points Straight Through exhaust (loud and amazing sound) Sunroof fully working and no leaks Very clean condition inside and out No Rot on car only superficial chips / marks and no history of rotting through MOT Checker Very Clean under car - inspection welcome No chips to wheels and fully refurbished in Grey Car starts and runs without any issues or warning lights

Bad parts

Mouldings have been colour coded same as the wheels,

Chips and some discolouring near rubber seals that will need attention soon car is lower than standard and exhaust sometimes catches if too fast over speed humps History is extensive for first 4 years then a few stamps over the years Please note there is no stereo with the car, but all plugs are there and they are relatively cheap to buy Car is 32 Years old and has had a full life with imperfections on some panels and needs a little TLC to be a top valued car.

Condition of sale This car is over 32 years old and has not been fully restored, the car is very solid all over from what I can see but does have the odd marks and fading of a car of this age, it still has the original purchase sticker in rear window.

The car is based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, and I would urge anyone serious in wanting to own this car come and view before placing a bid in auction as this auction is to buy not to have first refusal. I can send extra pictures of car upon request

Within 24 hour after the auction finishes I would expect the winning bidder make contact and make necessary arrangements for collection,

I have a clear idea what these are worth and what i should expect this to go for so I wont be accepting any low bids during the auction, I will just let this go untill the end
