This is a 404 estate/familiale with the 3 rows of seats. It was a deceased estate when I bought it early this year. Previous owner had taken it off the road in the late 1980 s to rectify things. He started at the front, replaced many panels and parts and worked towards the rear. Sadly things happened in his life and he lost interest, then passed away. I love the 404 s, estate is such a useful vehicle. However my favourite version has now been offered so this needs to go.I have fitted a brand new original Peugeot part rear door, reskinned the left hand rear side door, acquired new parts for the rear rakes, (shoes, cylinders etc)There is still a lot to do to get this entirely roadworthy, but I believe it's worth it. The paint I have put on is largely as protection. As can be seen the rear windows are not fitted, there are 2 of each to choose from with good rubbers, reason is to make easy access to some panel work and allow for paint to be applied more easily than masking rubbers. Also not fitted are the door liners but they are present and good all upholstery needs a good clean.Already installed, new exhaust system from manifold to the tip of the exhaust, new fuel line, tank refurbished totally clean inside and out. In one of the pics (rh rear side) you can see the repair pieces fabricated and just attached with tape (so I don't lose them before cutting in and welding) The rear inner wings need work, repair panels are made ready to be cut in. All 3 rear windows are out for ease of access to the areas needed.There is an absolute mountain of new, and used parts to go with it. Multiple sets of glass, new lights, side trims, rocker panels, ignition parts (no panels), exhaust systems (3) new old stock, many new ignition parts. Brake and clutch master cylinders, It's a huge list!V 5 C in my name, currently on SORN.Yes, the engine does turn, I haven't tried to run it.Inspection suggested.Sadly, another of those where the "buyer" didn't complete the deal. A very few messages and a few interesting stories!
