Genuine Ford South Africa Capri Perana V 8 (Genuine car. not a clone as advertised elsewhere) Restoration Project:
Unique opportunity to own the rarest. most sought after and fastest of all the Capris.
One of only 300 made and one of only 8 in the UK.
This is a matching numbers car with all genuine chassis. floor and wing tags all in place.
Imported from South Africa in June 2013 as a restoration project and sold as same. All import. customs and VAT duties paid in full.
Not yet registered in the UK.
Full South African and import paperwork with the car.
In the Perana red with the Perana black striping on the wings and doors surrounds.
Standard black interior.
Comes with the very rare wide rostyle wheels that were fitted to the Peranas and the rear louvre.
Has the 5. 0 ltr 302 V 8 with matching numbers plus has 5 speed manual conversion.
Car is very solid for its year (1970) but is in need of quite a bit of repair and fabricating.
Both floor footwells badly corroded as is base of front valance.
Inner passenger side wing has been badly repaired.
Base of both front wings will need replacing though the tops and channels are good. .
Needs a heater.
Interior is good though both parts of dash will need recovering.
Rostyle wheels will need refurb.
Paintwork is good but badly finished off in parts.
Would benefit from a respray
No wiring loom. though I have sourced a complete original GT wiring loom that will come with it.
Chassis is in very good condition as is rest of floor behind footwells.
Rear quarters good as is bootwell.
Sills look good as does the front of inner sill and kick panel.
Doors very good.
These cars very rarely come up for sale at all and definitely not at this price.
One other fully restored car currently for sale in excess of K 55 so a real bargain to be had here.
Tyre kickers can forget it as the car can be heard run and moved on the driveway but it is not yet registered for UK roads so cannot be driven.
