Hello and welcome to this auction . his auction is for a Volkswagen Super Viking Campervan it is a Right hand drive 1979 model and has covered only 31. 06 miles from new.

The van has a full Volkswagen main dealer service history. ecause of this low milage and the camper always being garaged when not in use it has survived in AS NEW condition with no signs of wear or tear to any of the original interior fittings. oft furnishings and upholstery.

Mechanically everything is perfect with no wear evident the van is a real pleasure to drive . Driving just the same as when it left Volkswagen 34 years ago.

The engine is the more powerfull and desirable 2000 cc which will cruise happily at motorway speeds and YES the heaters work very well indeed

The bodywork had rust prevention treatment as an optional factory extra when new when waxoyl was injected into the chassis and the underneath was coated and then undersealed over. I have cleaned some patches off and photographed them to show how the original factory paint shines through . Due to this process and summer use only the body is totally RUST FREE and has all the original panels in unmolested german factory fresh condition which is a quality that even the very best body restoration can ever match or duplicate. The door gaps . anel alignments and factory seams are all perfect and also unmolested .

The camper itself is a rare Super Viking model with the largest elevating and extending roof ever fitted to the T 2 camper which gives marvellous headroom for daytime living. FOUR ADULTS can sleep in the roof and two adults in the lower bed.

and brand new Brazilian vans with dubious build quality cost £42 k. This is original german build quality which is far superior to any new mexican van .
