1957 CHEVY 350 V8 solid genuine californian car

1957 Chevrolet 210 4 door saloon 350 V 8 auto in Teal and white.

I found this car and imported it myself around 3 years ago from the dry state of California from a guy who was using it as his daily driver. The car is a genuine Californian built 57 chevy with a very very solid original body as it had spent its whole there. All the chassis. arches. boot floor. rockers etc etc are all rust free and solid having never been welded or even undersealed. The only welding ever done is one rear floor pan panel where water had been left to sit and rusted a small hole. I had the whole section cut out and renewed professionally but this is all the has ever been done or needed.

The paintwork is teal and white with faint ghost flames. The paint is very dull and sun bleached. I personally love the patina look but it would need a repaint to make shinny again. There are a few odd blisters on some of the door bottoms that would need a little attention too but nothing major.

The chrome work is pretty much the same as the body being a bit dull due to years of being baked by the sun but kind of suits the cars look.

The interior appears to be all original. The door panels and headlining are still good as is the back seat. The front seat however has wear shown in the pictures so will need attention or a Mexican blanket thrown over it and away you go. New original pattern seat covers are still available from the USA. Just about anything you would possibly need is still easily available.

The car was originally a V 8 but the owner in the states had changed the engine to a 350 V 8 with 350 auto box. I have taken her on many long runs over the last few years and she has proved very reliable. Ive had the car on the road since importing it and motd it each time as required till earlier this year as now thanks to new laws its MOT exempt. The car is taxed till next year and that's free too.

This is not a show car but it is a very solid base to become one or equally its ideal to be used and enjoyed as it is with all its patina.

I had this car on a classified add but need to sell to make space so my reserve is set far lower than the cars true value so its priced to sell.
