Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 849 votes

Up for auction is this nicely restored 1944 Cushman Model 53 Airborne Scooter.   It is used regularly but is in nearly mint condition.   Starts easily every time and rides very nicely.   Outfitted with a Musette Bag. Canteen. Goggles and Cloth Helmet on the handlebars. and an M-1944 Field Bag on the rear fender.   Nice reproduction data plate. serial number matches what is stamped on the frame.   Has an alternate air filter. but the experts at Carpenter Cushman say it is totally acceptable.   Has vintage repro tire pump attached to front forks.   Has original cargo parachute and pack and attachment straps (may not be the exact correct setup but looks good for display).   Leather saddle in really nice condition.   Has a slightly different kill switch on the shroud.   Has original ribbed Firestone tires. never have to add air.   Painted in Camp Mackall 17th Airborne markings.   Includes an impressive spares package:  one rebuilt Tillotson ML3B carb. two spare carbs for parts. one brass fuel bowl. one glass fuel bowl. one spare throttle cable. four NOS brake linings. one ML carb kit. one spare main drive chain. and lots and lots of gaskets. needle valves. spark plugs. etc.   Also includes several hard to find original manuals:  TM 9-876 Airborne Motor Scooter. TM 10-515 The Motorcycle. two Cushman shop manuals. one Cushman instruction manual. and ORD 7-8-9 Supply Catalog for G-683 (Airborne Scooter).   This is a great package.

Please ask questions.   More photos available upon request.   Sold as is.   US sales only.   Pick up in person only offered. unless buyer wants to pay for arranged shipping.   Good Luck !!!
