"A brief insight to the history of this car. as other people may also be interested. When my brother bought the car it was a one owner car. extremely original. owned by a family in San Diego and he was told after he had purchased it. it was the car used in Karate Kid 1. We had no reason to doubt what he had been told as it had already been paid for. and he had little interest in the movie. but liked the car for what it was. The car was then shipped to Australia to go into my brothers collection.
There was another car used in Karate Kid 2 and it was a different car. I wonder if Ralph has that 2nd car. seems strange that if he had the first movie car. why it was not used again in the second movie. As for written documentation. no we have none. but yet to have anyone prove it's not the car as used in the first movie. So you can make your own conclusions as to which car is the one called "Wax On Wax Off". The first or second car.
All notoriety aside this is a great old 47 Ford Convertible. all original and a great drivable vehicle. "

Comments and questions to the seller:
from Rick Steel, dated 07 october 2020This is not the same car used in the movie and might even be a scam. There are two very noticeable options this car has that the one in the movie does not have. Research for yourselves and see if you can find it. It's not something that would be added to a classic like this. There is one thing that is missing but that could very well have been removed from damage.
