Original Scammell Pioneer Tank Transporter 1941 TRMU 20 for restoration.
Chassis number 4478 - showing the vehicle to have been ordered on 8 th August 1941.
In all. 115 of these 20 ton tank transporters were made - obviously few will have survived to this day due to wartime casualties and being over 75 years old.
Extremely rare and very unique part of military history.
Looks almost complete and has not been stripped of parts. which look mostly there: includes winch (dated 20-8-42 as fitted at end of manufacturing line). lights. gauges. etc.
Glass of windscreen. gauges and lights all intact.
Had been running before being parked up.
Good bones.
Tin work has deteriorated from weather and age.
Great candidate for a full restoration. and once completed would be an unique and very rare addition to any military collector.
A unique opportunity to restore an historical vehicle and be a part of future events.
Ideal if you also own a tank and needed a period tank transporter!
