1948 Simca 6 Left Hand Drive. Design and running gear based upon the Fiat Topolino.

Imported to the UK in 1956. allocated registration TXP 64 (transferable).

Owned by the same lady for approximately 50 years before gifting it to her mechanic in 2005 who had serviced the car for so many years.

The car was routinely used for local transport and always kept roadworthy. Was painted red over the original blue paint (registration document still records the car as blue although the change happened many years ago). The car is not in show condition for those who are looking for concours trophies but does have a charming original patina. Has been used in recent years for a couple of local classic motoring events but the last MOT expired approximately 2 years ago. for which the brakes had received some renovation.

The car has stood in a yard at a local garage since the last MOT expired. There have been a pair of covers over the car. It has been started and aired on a number of ocassions but the buyer should anticipate some basic recommissioning. although the car no longer is required to have an MOT. The garage say that the car is very solid and no welding is required. The photo's show the car just as it is. so it would be improved substantially with some cleaning and tlc.
