Hi I am reluctantly now selling my Rare Simca Vedette Versailles 1956 Classic Car This car has brought me some great times when originally purchased the car was just a shell. with no engine. gearbox no prop shaft no brakes. wipers etc. since I have purchased the car I have had the whole car welded by a professional Boat builder. all floors are now rust free and solid with two new sills fitted. I have soundproofed the floor and carpeted it the car is an automatic column change. it is currently fitted with a sound Ford 2 Ltr pinto engine and gearbox very reliable. the car has had lots of ne parts alternator chrome. condenser. HT leads plugs etc. all in all this car is a great example of the Simca Vedette Versailles.

it has an original Valve Radio and also a modern CD and MP 3 player in glove box. with all this in mind the car is still in need of some TLC it has been sorn off the road since 2015 and has been garaged since then. I have the fabric ready to have new seat covers made (cream leatherette) the door skins need repair and although the bodywork is in acceptable condition I always had the intention to re spray this beautiful car. the car is a left hand driver and has always been a head turner and conversational piece. I have recently purchased a set of internal door handles from France. they were hard to find but I was lucky enough to get them at a high price. In the 1970s we had here in Australia a medium size car called a Holden (GM) Torana. I have a feeling it was a Brit. import, if it was, what is/was the model name in the UK?
