V5 present - correctly registered as a 3. 5 litre

Historic vehicle – MOT and tax exempt – taxed till 03/15

The car was taken off the road in May 2013 – rear wings were removed – front end removed and the car was given a bare metal re-spray – at the same time the LT75 five speed gearbox was removed and reconditioned by John Reed – The engine is a 3. 5 litre Rover with a +20 re-bore. new pistons and ARP con-rods. The Jaguar rear axle has had new wheel bearings and oil seals replaced. The Vauxhall Viva HB front suspension set up has had new wheel bearings. track rod ends. ball joints and steering rack gaiters. It has stainless steel exhausts front to back – electric sunroof – Mazda MX5 seats - original boxed chassis - Wolf Race wheels 8x15 rears & 5. 5x14 fronts - GAZ adjustable shocks.

 Other new parts include:

Distributor. leads. plugs. cap. rotor. ignition coil. ignition amp. brake master cylinder. clutch master cylinder. alternator and belts. prop shaft (by North West Prop-shafts). radiator. Facet fuel pump. fuel lines. brake flexi-pipes. 390 Holly carb (Real Steel). set of gages (all work). stainless steel fuel tank. fuel lines. many bills to prove. All fluids have been changed.

I drove the car up to Scotland at Easter for a shake-down run and was expecting something to fall off! but it ran faultlessly. After the run I went through the car to check it all over.   I changed the oil and filter just to make sure. but was not necessary.   I have just been to the NSRA Billing Run Northampton and drove the car from Lancashire and back - it never missed a beat.

This is not the first Pop I have had. but all I can say is that. due to its independent suspension all round. it's one of the best driving rods I've had and handles really well. It sat on the motorway 70mph comfortably - Absolutely no overheating problems. Obviously. the car is 58 years old. so please take this into consideration. as it has the usual road noise etc. There is good leg room in the car. sat by the drivers door. not in the back!

The only thing that need sorting is the window winding mechanism on the driver's door – window goes up and down. but the teeth worn – Passenger side also needs sorting – Part available from Pop Browns. The interior is carpeted. but roof lining needs completing – easy fix.
