I am listing my Moss Monaco. This car was originally factory built by Moss Cars Ltd. Bath. Avon. Initially the car was ordered by Mr. E. H. Vallance and I have the original bill of sale dated 3 rd May 1989 aswell as the build specifications which include. a one piece GRP monocoque shell in 'British Racing Green. a Triumph Herald 13/60 fully reconditioned engine with new parts to complete. The chrome headlights and 15" wire wheels were supplied and fitted at Mr Vallance's expense. I also have the certificate from DVLA of the VIN and registration certificate applicable to the above. These all comply with the V 5 in my name. In my ownership the car has been regularly serviced. A complete full period stainless steel exhaust is fitted and was purpose made by a local company only last year.
A collection (11 in all) of previous MOT's are present. the last two of which. each have no advisories.
To summarise. the Monaco drives faultless and currently is 100% reliable. Everything works as it should and it is a great useable car with a purpose fitted tonneau cover for anyday use. There is no rust to contend with on the body. The underbody. rear and front suspension and adjoining linkages are well rustproofed. Parts are easily available and reasonably priced and the car is very easy to maintain. The Biggles hat. goggles. flying jacket and 2 way radio are also available (subject to negotiation)
Of all the press studs required to hold the tonneau cover in place. of which I believe there's approx 12. there is 1 missing. Naturally there are some age related marks on the body such as very small stonechips but these in no way detract from what is a superb period 50's roadster.
