Re listed because a not paying bidder This auction is for this 1965 Renault 8 Gordini replica. The car is period correct from the wheels thru the 3 point roll cage. the Jager gauges mounted in R 8 S dash. Formula France steering wheel Cibie lights. 4 shocks rear suspension. Also has the 60' racing seat (original driver seat in good condition included!) The motor is a later type 1. 8 liter with the Weber side draft carburetors. producing about 110 HP -starts. drives real good! Radiator in the front with electric fan. Transmission-4 speed- is a sprint gear unit -very short first gear! Auction also includes stock 4 speed transmission good condition with new seals! Tires have lot of thread. Bosch battery is new. and the engine was serviced recently.
This is not a "Pebble Beach" concurs vehicle. but a nice driver and as you know only a handful exist in the US. Little rust on undercarriage side bars need attention (see photos) but trunk/doors and floor is OK.
Car can be driven. or I will help with shipping (buyers expense) on my end. registered till Jan. 2015 and insured. Sold "AS-IS"
