Offered for auction a 1974/1975 CItroen 2cv4 finished in Orange Tenere - 435 cc drum brake model. It is a very rare car in the uk .

The car has not been on the road since 1988 - The car is in outstanding virtually concours condition. The car has a mileage of approx 4800 kilometres.
It originated south of Paris and has been in a barn in Northumberland since being imported in 1988. it has a dating certificate from the citroen car club. I do not have the carte Gris. it is mot'd but not uk registered. It will need to be collected via a transporter.

As the photographs reflect the car is outstanding. certainly one of the best in the uk and the colour certainly reflects the period the 2cv dates from.

The car looks as though it could have left the factory yesterday. every aspect of this car looks brand new. It is one of the best ( if not the best ) example of this model in the Uk - I have yet to see another so good.

A few more notes with regard to the car in view of all the questions and interest so far :
The chassis is original and in perfect condition having been shot blasted and powder coated in addition to all the suspension arms. The wheels again shot blasted and sprayed to the original AC grey colour and the tyres are 125 x 15 are brand new. The bumpers are in new condition. The interior door cards dashdoard is all original. door cards are orange and unmarked . the seat fabric is brand new as is the foam and the frames have been resprayed. The rubber mats are all good and the original seat belts replaced with 2cv inertia . interior light works - as do all the electrics ( fuel gauge sometimes a bit temperamental) new battery fitted. New roof. new sunscreen. The body work and boot and floor have all been replaced in the original Orange tenere and it is unmarked. the vent flap and rear wings are a slightly lighter orange so for perfection may need respray if you are bothered. The entire engine has been blasted and repainted including ancilleries - the exhaust expansion boxes are new as is the fan housing finished in brown. New pistons and rings giving maximum compression. complete new exhaust system. all new brake pipes fluid etc and the kingpins are new - the suspension is all perfect.
chrome wipers and blades. new indicators. The car is immaculate and has been a nut and bolt restoration over a series of years and this is clearly reflected by the photographs and the only reason for the sale is a reduction in my collection.
Can a £100. 00 deposit be made via paypal within 24 hrs of the auction finishing and cash on collection. The car will need to be transported.
