1961 Morris Minor 1000. NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!

This little Morris runs great! It runs beautifully. shifts well. brakes as well as you would expect for a 55 year old car with mechanical brakes. Steers very nicely. fairly tight. does not pull left or right. Glass is perfect but the side windows require a bit of manual assistance so the window mechanisms could use a little TLC. It is a blast to drive and gets tons of attention. Clean Idaho Title in my name.

Very rust free body. very slight rot at the bottom of the trunk lid & gutter areas. Left rear quarter panel just in front of the rear fender has some damage that has been roughed out but needs additional old school body work to be perfectly straight. I also have the complete chrome front bumper although it is not shown in the photos on the car it is shown loose in my Photo Bucket album listed below.

Mileage on Speedometer is not actual. Actual is unknown.

Rat Rodders. here is a great opportunity to do a very cool budget project. it would be a stretch to call the little Minor a rod with it's original 1000 cc motor but it has a lot of potential if you wanted to put something in with more power.

Some engine swaps I am aware of are the MG Midget 1275 cc. Fiat 1300. 1600. 1800 and 2000 cc engines as well as Ford Kent motors. Ford V 4. V 6 and Toyota MR 2's. Car has a great patina for a Rat Rod. I think the car was originally green. then black over that and the green side stripe over that. wear through the layers giving it that look that can only come with years of gradual paint wear or a very expensive paint job intended to give it that look.

Interior is in very nice shape but it needs a carpet kit.

Right headlight needs to be replaced. horn does not operate and speedometer needs to have the cable replaced. I have a new cable that comes with the car. Includes the original jack. owners manual and some spare parts. Wipers work as does the heater and fan. It has a new battery and new carburetor! It runs like a top!

Parts are very easy to get for this car. new from England where these old Morris's have a cult like following.
