Purchased by myself to use while my Bristol was being restored and so that I had a car for my family to use for the recent Goodwood Revival. my Bristol is now painted so my Morris has to go. sadly!
A really rare early Morris minor series MM split screen saloon. with the first of the overhead valve engines. In restored condition. with recent expenditure of nearly £700 of parts in my ownership.
Finished in black with burgundy interior and a full roll back sunroof.
BODYWORK:
The body is in very smart condition with one or two small blemishes commensurate with an older restoration. The restoration work was obviously carried out to a high standard. as it still looks fantastic.
The paintwork is very smart and has been painted with period correct cellulose paint.
The car has no rust. the floors are solid as is the boot and all inner wings.
INTERIOR:
The front seats have been re-trimmed . the rear seat is original as are all the door cards and are in veruy good undamaged condition.
New rear seats belts have just been fitted so I could fit child seats.
The carpets are new and the dashboard has been beautifully repainted in gold and looks as new.
EXTERIOR:
New chrome bumpers and over-riders. bumper bolts. rear badge. hinges and new hub-caps. recent tyres on smartly re-painted steel wheels.
Roll back roof. non original but works well and does not let in water despite a rather wet weekend in the field at Goodwood recently.
ENGINE & MECHANICS:
The engine is running very well and has recently been fully serviced with new spark plugs. . points. condensor. rotor-arm. plus a full oil change of engine oil.
The engine bay is in very smart condition . the carb has been overhauled and all parts are painted in the correct colour and style. The engine bay may only take a bit of minor detailing to get up to show standard.
HISTORY:
Various receipts of recent works and old MOTs etc.
