In summary. The Alpina are true hand built performance saloons. Alpina take a new car direct from the BMW production line to the Alpina factory and strip the car down again. They then rebuild the car. making performance improvements where necessary. The result is an amazing performance car. think of it as a more subtle alternative to the E 39 M 5. Starting with the engine. a new 4. 6 block is used with enlarged. lighter Mahle pistons. re programmed engine management. new camshafts. improved heads etc. These modifications leave a 340 BHP V 8. that makes a glorious sound and provides excellent performance. But its not just the engine performance thats improved. its the whole package. Don't forget these cars could be ordered directly from the BMW showroom. so had be up to a very high standard. The exhausts / suspension / brakes / interior / gearbox software are all improved to give you the whole package. This car produces very similar performance figures to the M 5. but provides this power in a different way. Drive this car around day to day. and its an extremely comfortable and luxurious saloon car. This example comes with the very expensive comfort seat option. These seats really live up to their name. you can adjust them every way thinkable. including shaping the back of the seat. They are superbly supportive and the most comfortable seats I have experienced. So you are driving around in comfort. with everything to hand in this multi award winning E 39 interior. its very relaxing. allowing you to soak up the miles. The suspension although firm. does not feel harsh in any way. But. should you find a quiet bit of road and fancy upping the speed a bit. this car responds instantly. Push the accelerator and this car instantly transforms into the ultimate performance saloon. The engine is amazing. a fantastic V 8 which is happy to rev. The noise from the exhaust comes alive. a lovely deep note with subtle pop and bangs on the overrun. excellent. Thats the point with this Alpina B 10. it does every job. so well !!
This example is an Individual car finished in Alpina Blue. The bodywork and paintwork on this car are excellent. Look all over this car. is a stunning. cherished example. Look down the sides etc. no noticable dings or dents. The paintwork on these Alpinas were alway better when new. extra coats of laquer etc. Well on this car. the deep all over shine remains. this colour has to be the best on one of these B 10's.
Inside is up to the same excellent standard. Full extended Black leather. all in excellent condition. Look at the dash. door cards. carpets etc. its all just as good. This example has the original Alpina mats with another BMW set over the top. This Alpina comes with a full specification including electric and heated seats. electric sunroof. parking sensors. auto fold mirrors. rear electric blind. CD changer etc along with the usual Alpina touches like the number plaque. Alpine logo'd steering wheel and dials etc. This car also features the Alpina Switchtronic system giving you the option of changing gears using the buttons on the steering wheel if required.
The wheels on this Alpina are 18 inch. They look superb and are all in unmarked condition. including the spare. Even the inside of the wheels have been cleaned. thats how well this example has been cared for.
This example has 3 former keepers. The last bought the car of me 5 years ago and has absolutely loved it. Always looking after it correctly. its only made way as he fancied a change and bought an Aston Martin. The owner before that has the car for 11 years. We have all the original manuals. a fully stamped original service book. all the keys along with a folder full of old MOT's and Service receipts etc. Looking through this its clear no expense has been spared on this car. BMW parts always being used and plenty of coolant / brake and the important gearbox oil change is all documented.
