STUNNING EXAMPLE OF A 1972 ROVER P5B COUPE- 3.5 LTR AUTO

Truly stunning example of a 1972 Rover 3. 5 ltr P5B coupe in metallic galaxy grey with cream roof. We have made the decision to sell this lovely car as we are moving house and down sizing. We have spent a lot of time and expense on this car over the years. ncluding an overhaul of the engine and a lot of work professionally carried out to the underside and bodywork making this a good solid car that runs lovely. We have a lot of invoices and some photos to show the extent of the work that has been done. Originally blue. he car has had a full re-spray in (Honda civic) galaxy metallic grey. ith cream roof and now looks stunning. lways has heads turning when people see it. Also the boot lid has been slightly modified to give it a more streamline custom look(see photos). The back passenger doors open from inside as the outer handles have been removed. lso to give it  a more custom look but we have these and could be reinstalled.
All the chrome on the car had been  re-chromed but there are now a few small marks here and there. ut nothing that spoils the overall look of the car. The paintwork has a few minor chips but you have to really look hard to find them. The chrome trim needs putting back on the rear window but we left this off rather than doing it ourselves as it is easily damaged in the process. A professional would do it easily but we never got around to sorting it.
The interior is all original. The carpets are in good condition apart from the two front mats. hich are worn through but wouldn't take much to replace as they are separate from the rest of the carpeting. The original dark tan buck skin seats are also in good condition for its year. There is one small wear hole on the drivers seat where you get in. The door cards are ok but one needs the small velour trim replacing as it is torn(again not a big job). The interior wood trim on the dashboard needs the veneer re- doing as does some of the wood along the tops of the doors(again a simple job for a professional)All in all the interior is in good condition for its age. The much sought after original head rests are also present in the car and we were also quoted the number plate to be worth around £300 around seven years ago so probably worth more now. The car has new. ore modern 18" alloy wheels that were manufactured for a Rover but we have the originals. ll with good tyres on them but they need re -chroming. There is a leak on the power steering. pparently it needs a cork gasket.
The MOT ran out on the car a while a go and with other classic car projects taking up time. e haven't got around to sorting it so the car will have to be trailered away. It has been run regularly though and still sounds lovely when you hear the V8 start up.
All in all this is a good solid car that looks stunning and runs well. It would make a lovely wedding/special occasion car. It was  tough deciding to sell it but hope that someone else will enjoy it as much as we have.
