If you are unfamiliar with what a CMP truck is. go to Wikipedia and type:  Canadian Military Pattern. Ebay does not allow me to post a direct link.

I own several other military vehicles and am looking to downsize at this time. I am not selling this vehicle out of need. I do not require any help selling this vehicle. so scammers and low ballers don't even bother!!! No trades no deals outside eBay please  Vehicle is available for inspection and to go for a ride in the Houston area

I am selling my personally owned 1941 Chevrolet Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) Model 60L army truck from World World II. It is currently registered as an antique vehicle in Texas under my name. It currently has insurance and is street legal. I drive this truck on weekends. It has now 2519 kilometers (about 1500 miles) Yes!! 1500 miles! This is a true survivor. unmolested. unrestored truck in excellent condition despite being 75 years old. This truck spent most of it's life in a museum.   This is three-ton single-wheel version. with a Chevrolet 216 cubic inches straight-six motor (blue flame block) with 85 Horsepower. The four-speed manual transmission includes operational 4x4 with high and low gear. Steering wheel is located on the RIGHT side. No power-steering.  6 Volt electric system. Power brakes. Five NEW modern radial military tires (12. 5R20 size) with less than 100 miles on them.  The inner tubes and rim protectors were also replaced. Included in the sale are the old 1100 20 bias tires.   The truck starts. runs. drives. brakes. and shifts as it should. The engine does NOT smoke. knock. or leak oil.   The paint is in great shape with some minor surface rust. if any.   I purchased this truck about 2 years ago through Ebay from Robert Reigle of militaryvehicles. com from Lake Fenton. Michigan. Robert Reigle told me that he purchased this CMP from the Dean V Kruse museum auction in Auburn Indiana.    In the year 2000. Mr. Kruse purchased this CMP truck and many other military vehicles from the Arlon Military Museum in Belgium.   See related article and pictures by doing a google search: Kruse ww2 victory museum and click on the link of: cybermodeler. com. Ebay does not allow me to post a direct link.
Robert Reigle got this CMP running by rebuilding the brakes. cleaning the fuel system. and installing an aftermarket electric fuel pump.

The good:
75 year old CMP truck in unmolested. unrestored condition with only 2519 Kilometers. Spent most of its life inside a museum. Street legal. licensed/registered. insured. and driven on weekends. I personally replaced all fluids. spark plugs. ignition coil. distributor cap and rotor. oil filter (spare one included in this sale). Installed an new carburetor from "Chevy from the 40's website" (original carburetor and oil bath filter included in this sale) and a K&N air filter. Replaced the fuel filter (spare one included in this sale). No moisture was observed in any of the engine. axle. or transmission oil when I personally changed them.   Removed and cleaned both fuel tanks and lined them with "RedKote". The exhaust and intake manifold gasket were replaced when all-new exhaust system was installed.   The oak wood bed floor is in great shape and appears to be the original wood. All lights work. Speedometer works. Generator amp gauge works and the 6-volt generator works as it should.   Oil pressure dummy light works.   All five WWII era "Jerry Cans" mounted under the bed are included in this sale.   6-Volt battery is one year old.
The bad:
Non original aftermarket canvas looks good in the included pictures but needs to be replaced.   "Mary and L4918720" painted on body by. ? is not original and I have no clue what it means.   Passenger side gas tank is rusted from the inside but now is lined with RedKote. The driver's side gas tank is in good condition and also lined with RedKote. Gasoline tank gauge does not work.   Temperature gauge does not work.   Manual choke cable is difficult to use(but IS functional).   4x4 shifter is difficult to operate. However. the 4x4 system works! Appears that the transmission has a small oil leak. Like any old gasoline vehicle. this truck requires lead additive to be mixed with the gasoline.
SHIPPING:
I could (I did not say I will) deliver this CMP for $1. 00 (one dollar) a mile. one way but shipping needs to discussed with the buyer. On my schedule in the following few month full payment first including delivery fee too I will deliver this CMP truck to a shipping company in the Houston area for free if necessary also
