1979 Mercedes 450 SEL 6. 9 (W116) LHD
This is a very special Mercedes 450 SEL 6. 9. It was supplied new by Mercedes Benz dealership Albisher & Alkazem. in Kuwait. in late 1979 and imported into the UK in the mid 80's.
It is a high specification model with climate control. power reclining rear seat. full tan leather interior (including doors and roof lining) and deep pile carpet.
The car has only covered 56. 00 miles (90. 00km) and comes with full service history from new. As such it is in exceptional condition and drives without fault with incredible power and refinement.
It is fitted with the US spec bumpers and headlamps but seems to be a full power European spec car. I bought European specification bumpers and headlights and they are available if the buyer would like to convert the car.
Unlike many high mileage and abused 6. 9s this car has been used sparingly over the last 34 years and regularly serviced by main dealers.
Last year classic Mercedes Specialist Robert Schmitt replaced the rear suspension spheres and overhauled the steering and the car drives like a dream.
