We present for sale a fully restored Mercedes-Benz 290 gd. It is the W 461 model with a long frame with a wheelbase of 3.1 m and a single cabin. These versions were manufactured to the order of the German army and then built into the assigned tasks. This specimen had at the back the superstructure of a fire engine carrying equipment and a boom with lighting. After leaving the army, he joined the Polish fire brigade. When it came into our hands, we decided to carry out a full renovation. We disassembled it to the smallest piece of cake and started the restoration process. The frame and chassis parts were printed and powder coated, the body repaired and painted in the original Mercedes Chian blue color. All screws have been galvanized, Axels dismantled, sealed and reassembled with new bearings. The engine and gearbox have been rebuilt and put together with a new clutch. New exhaust, fuel, and brake systems. During the assembly process, we replaced all worn parts. In the interior, the seats of the 290 turbo model are trimmed with original material with black leather, headlining in black Alcantara. We installed all new rubbers and shock absorbers when folding the chassis. Additionally, we used expedition clamshells with a winch. We added original black Mercedes rims with new Yokohama tires. We placed the spare wheel on the roof rack, on which we also placed additional lighting. In the rear part, we have built a platform for transporting two large motorcycles or a small ATV. An additional small winch and lighting help with loading. Both winches and lighting are controlled from the cabin. After construction, the car was tested on the road and in the field and we can guarantee it.
