Rare -- Stutz Blackhawk IV Porte!!! for sale

 Up for auction we have a rare and interesting 1980 Stutz IV Porte.   With there only ever being about 50 of these cars made. this is indeed a rare one!  A little history on the Stutz IV-Porte is below.
 

The IV-Porte was produced from 1979 through 1981. originally on the Pontiac Bonneville then later on the Oldsmobile 88 Royal platform.   Only about 50 of these cars were built.   The 1981 IV-Porte sedan was priced at the then outrageous sum of $84. 00 which in today's money equates to about $200. 00! County singer Kenny Rogers owned a white 1980.   Barry White owned a 1979. which was recently found and restored for his widow on the popular TV show Counting Cars.

This car being a 1980 model. it is based on the Pontiac platform.   We have owned this car since 2008. and have used it very little since then. The silver and black paint is in wonderful shape and it shows beautifully!  It was re-painted at some point in its life but I am not sure of when.   The interior is still in good shape with no rips or tears in the seats and only minor shrinkage on the hand sewn leather dash.   The interior on these cars were packed full of high tech (for the times) gadgets. The drive indicator no longer works on the dash that lets you know what drive location the transmission is in.   I tried the A/C yesterday and it blows warm now. so it is probably ready for a re-charge but I am not positive that is what the problem is.   It used to blow cold.   The trip computer no longer works. it didn't work when we got it and I never looked into why.   Cars runs great.   Motor is very smooth and transmission shifts good with no slippage or funny noises.   Car drives down the road nice and straight and brakes are strong with no pulling to one side or the other.   With the known problems I would rate this car as a 7/10 with 10 being perfect.   With a little TLC this could easily be a 8. 5 or 9.
