1978 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT One Of None! in the USA No! Reserve.

In my opinion:I truly believe that a Real! Mercedes Benz Specialist who knows what they're buying Can turn this into a Concord car an it can be worth six figures in years to come.  If a celebrity was to own this car like Jay Leno it would make its own market value! If you think about it in the 50s when Mercedes Benz built the Gullwing and 300SL convertible their intentions was Not! for them to be worth a few million dollars lol.  It was just business as usual for them…. They were expecting you to trade in your Gullwing back for a newer car in a few years. There Non-Existent!! It was not the Company responsibility to prove who they were at the time of build also nobody was making body kits at that time. There is nothing to compare this car too…  because of its Extreme rarity. When you go to Hagerty insurance Price guide and enter the Vin# it comes back ( No! price found because of insufficient Data ) I personally have not seen any of these cars on Barrett Jackson, Mecum, Gooding & Co. Bonhams or any auto museum or concourse websites. This is 100% the real thing… this is the most proof! you're going to get  I have the original DOT/EPA paperwork from the original owner that the car was shipped in from Europe into the US.  I also have the original registration from the original owner.  I have the original owners manuals.  It has the original motor & trans and the competition lowered suspension “ Never touched or worked on ” Has All original euro lights. The Winged trunk, The Euro bumpers, fire extinguisher, original two tone cloth interior,  Sunroof, Power windows in the front but Roll up windows in the rear? Its the Automatic 4.5 Liter 450 Euro motor. This is a all original and Extremely Rare! 350 SLC AMG. You will be the third owner! comes with the original New Jersey title dated in 1987 with 37,000 Miles.  This car has a original 99,000 miles on it right now! I should point out that the photos look like it has an old standard carburetor but in fact it is the Bosch K-jetronic fuel injection, not a carburetor. The big factor with this car is the condition. Overall it is complete, it's all there and it's all original I even found the original chrome strip missing on the driver side quarter panel. No! major concerning with rust-through the frame floors rocker panels trunk floor spare tire floor underneath the gas pedal etc. All are in very good condition. Yes! Have more pics.  All the electrical on the dashboard is working with an exception of the driver side window and door not opening? All the outside lights working. The tires are good and are holding air and I drove the car for about 10minutes locally.  I did not attempt to change anything other than any new used battery add some starting fluid and it started right up it seems that the more I left it run the better it seems to have gotten I know the purest want to use the correct spark plugs wires oil's etc. so I left everything alone. The DOT / EPA documents support at the car came in from overseas. So the suspension body modifications were in fact done by AMG. Please note: Again at the time of this build there was no aftermarket company making AMG parts this is the real thing! It has the AMG marking on the front lower bumper and on the two side body skirts. Also has the original AMG wing and AMG trunk ornament.  From what I can tell the upgrades/modifications that were made to the vehicle are suspension and body aero body parts. There is no doubt it accents the vehicle well. Because this is a “grey market” car (built for European distribution) these cars a generally a little lighter not having the 5 MPH bumpers required in North America at the time as well as some of the emission controls required in the US so they also put out a little more horsepower. these “grey market” cars have better performance and are more collectible and desirable. Because these AMG cars are built for the European market and are so unique whatever you pay or whatever you invest the price will never go down the value goes up by 10% to 15% per year even if you did nothing to it and let it sit and rust in your driveway. The Price is never going down Never… always growing up!
